We don't try to be conservative or liberal, left or right - we try to be good and do the right thing.
Two guys with jobs and families, just trying to understand and explain the assault on individual liberties and opportunities by the right, left, underground and elite. We may even make you laugh, on occasion.

Pre-Emptive Mocking of Tea Party Movement

It seems that the strategy right now is to belittle the outrage around the power grab and free-for-all spending that is currently underway.

This is a typical tactic, but it looks like it has been sanctioned by whomever is quarterbacking the propaganda now. This just barely worked against Ron Paul in the primaries last year. Had that campaign cycle lasted another few months, there may have been a much different outcome. People are waking up to what is going on at an accelerating pace. It's not just hardcore libertarians - it is also everyday people who simply see the level of intrusion and confiscation has gotten so out of hand that mere phone calls and emails will not convey their disapproval anymore. This scares the hell out of the folks pulling the strings.

The political class knows there will be people in the streets on April 15th - the day set for the Tea Party protests. They are simply trying to minimize the visible outrage by trying their best to talk people out of showing up. For instance, this entry in the semi-intellectual Huffington Post.

I'd like to go on record as saying that I understand full well what is going on, so that may make me an "intellectual" - and it's OK for the thinking person to show up and protest on tax day (April 15th) as well.
